New Rules
Peter decided to give me some rules and guidelines for the blog.
- stop provoking the crazies (wait i think that might provoke them, dammit!)
- only talk about bedtime banter when it involves his "bits"
- don't refer to Liam as our 'mistake' (which i haven't done until now)
I only have one thing to say
does the rust protection work on plastic too?
While we are waiting tentatively for our financing approval for the Element, the young woman tries to sell us every known upgrade and service protection and CRAP for the car. Cause really we arent spending ENOUGH MONEY!
So after she spouted on about the value of rust protection, Peter and I both wondered if the wonderful rust inhibiting ions was really worth $1000 on a vehicle that is mostly plastic.

So today we spent an ASSLOAD
So we said when we get back from our not so cheap vacation that we were (and i quote):
"Going to tighten up a little"
Well today Peter and I bought this --

Not exactly tightening anything.

the nightmare begins...
Liam's itinerary for a cold:
- probably up at least once in the night -- for an HOUR
- still get up at 5 am
- scream and carry on for mommy so she can't get even an hour to make up for the 2 + hours she lost in the night
- mommy tries to wipe my nose and i FREAK OUT
- fuss over breakfast and not eat much
- have a tantrum -- i mean full out people, lay on the floor and scream and cry and hit and stomp -- basically the whole nine yards
- tell mommy i want to eat and then don't eat anything she gives me
- have another tantrum
- run into the wall or furniture so i hurt myself and then FREAK OUT again
- repeat as see fit

computer virus?
is it possible to transfer ACTUAL viruses over the internet?
The only people - my online mommies - I know that are sick and have sick children I have only been in contact with online.
SO!!! how is it that Liam and I both ended up sick?!

gone. gone forever.
after watching 25 minutes learning about Dora's "happy box" I am struck that the lesson I learned from today's episode is:
Only put things that make you happy in your happy box.
Really is there any other lesson worth learning...?

made me realize
So as usual I'm reading Oh, the joys this week and I had this sudden realization that I really would love one of my friends to have a baby. I would love to look at them with that tenderness and kindness that other mothers had for me when I was pregnant with my first. I would love to see them stare at wonder at their body and their sweet baby. But most of all, I would love for them to be a part of this motherhood thing and to know and understand when I just want to hear them talk about their lives and when I am weepy it's no ones fault.
So - GIRLS (you know who you are) - GET TO IT!!!!
P.S. I would also like to be the one to smile and coo at their sweet little monkey faces and then HAND THE BABY BACK when it starts to cry.
Ethyl alcohol & the ER
Generally when I leave Liam in Peter's capable hands I have a moments rest - until I hear them racing up the stairs. Peter with Liam under one arm and a bottle of hand sanitizer in the other...
We struggle for 10 minutes trying to get the child to throw up - not as easy as you might think. Apparently we can stick both our fingers down his throat and he will not barf.
So off we went to the ER. 2 hours, a pulse, a sugar test and a blood test later.
He's fine.
Not exactly what I had in mind for a Sunday evening.

Cuba 2007
Cayo Largo was fabulous! Very relaxing, very soothing and VERY HOT!
Peter and I enjoyed every minute of it...
But we were so happy to come home.
Our sweet faced lil' munchkin changed in a week,
he grew (like an inch)
he mimics (even more) - "don't say CRAP"
he loves george more than dora
who knew what could happen in a week?!
